Storm Dave brings disruptive and potentially damaging winds across Scotland, with the MET office issuing yellow and amber warnings through Saturday into Easter Sunday morning and across the weekend.  Peak gusts of 50-60 mph will be possible fairly widely, with 60-70 mph in more exposed areas. There is a slight chance of even stronger gusts of 80-90 mph in such exposed areas for a time. Please take care. and refer to our guidance on preparing for storms. Summary

The Annandale and Ae timber haulage route is 7km of in-forest haul route in Dumfries and Galloway. The route serves over 3400 hectares of commercial forestry including the central part of the Forest of Ae and maturing plantations on Annandale Estate, and is projected to carry 1.1m tonnes of timber over 25 years.
