Summary
Creating an application can be time-consuming, but it is achievable on your own.
We recommend that you:
- read this guide before committing to creating your own application
- keep a checklist of everything you need to do, as you work through the guidance
You will learn a lot about forestry as your plan comes together.
Working with one of our local offices (also known as a Conservancy office) can also help. We will help equip you with the relevant information and documents to submit an application.
I don't have the time to create an application
Struggling for time? A forestry consultant can complete an application on your behalf.
This would be to your own cost. You should shop around and consider consultant services that work for you.
How will my application be assessed?
Applications for grant funding are assessed against the:
- current grants scheme’s eligibility criteria
- UK Forestry Standard (UKFS)
Consider Appendix 1 carefully, as this includes details on the current grant scheme.
